For Spiniello, accident prevention is an integral part of every operation. We utilize the latest methods to help our team stay safe on the job while preventing damage to personal property and reducing the financial risks of inefficiency. On our jobsites, productivity and safety go hand in hand.
Our Safety training includes OSHA 10/30 hour courses, led by our onsite certified instructors and expert consultants. We provide a range of safety training for our employees, open our jobsites to periodic inspections and document our safety policies.
Employees at Spiniello receive ongoing safety training, which begins with a safety orientation on their first day of work. The on-site training takes place at the start of each workday, where supervisors review the potential hazards of the day and environmental conditions — like extreme heat or cold — that could lead to illness or injury. In addition, weekly "toolbox talks" give work teams a chance to discuss safety topics that are relevant for a particular jobsite.
Our safety training also includes one- and two-day safety courses, led by our onsite trainers and expert consultants.

To promote a safe work environment, Spiniello opens up each jobsite to our safety manager, insurance broker and insurance carrier, who perform on-site health and safety inspections, and report the findings to our board for review. Loss records are compiled and reviewed with the jobsite safety team to identify the appropriate methods for recourse.
Additionally, Spiniello has worked closely with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Using their On-Site Consultation service, we have learned about potential hazards at our worksites and used this information to strengthen our employee safety program.
Spiniello has documented safety policies within a Health and Safety Program Handbook, which provides a framework for safety across all of our operations. Additional safety instructions may be issued by the project manager or owner, along with local, state or federal safety regulations that apply to a specific jobsite. Supervisors are responsible for ensuring that their employees, subcontractors and any other subordinates comply with all safety policies for a jobsite.
Spiniello is also committed to providing a drug- and alcohol-free workplace. We conduct pre-placement, random, reasonable suspicion, post-accident, periodic and return-to-duty testing.
With our Safety Program, we respect the dangers inherent in the construction industry — and believe that all accidents and injuries are preventable. Employee safety matters to us, most of all.
In addition to projects completed around the world, Spiniello has:
- Rehabilitated more than 15 million feet of pipeline.
- Acquired more than 50 years of experience in pipeline rehabilitation and more than 80 years of experience in heavy construction.
