  • This project’s scope of work generally entailed cleaning, CCTV inspection, cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) lining, guniting, manhole lining, and replacement of an existing combined sewer system at various locations throughout Jersey City, New Jersey. Spiniello successfully rehabilitated 2,400-feet of a 96-inch combined sewer main. More specifically, the work comprised CIPP lining of approximately 25,650-feet of combined sewer, the guniting of approximately 3,000-feet of combined sewer, and the replacement of approximately 10,400-feet of combined sewer.

Spiniello was challenged with maintaining and protecting traffic within one of the busiest roadways in the world through which tens of millions of vehicles travel each year—the six-lane route leading vehicular traffic from Jersey City directly through the Holland Tunnel and into Manhattan. Traffic control measures therefore needed to be coordinated not only with the JCMUA and its Engineer, but also with the New Jersey Department of Transportation, Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, and New Jersey Turnpike Authority due to the convergence of multiple State and interstate roadways directly into the project area.
