| The
Right Cleaning Process for Any Problem |
The first step in the rehabilitation
process is to remove all rust, scale, tubercles, and other foreign
matter. Cleaning to bright metal, however, is unnecessary.
Three basic techniques are used in the cleaning process, drag, hydraulic,
and mechanical. The choice of methods depends on a number of factors,
including pipe diameter, length of pipe reaches, ease of access, and
provisions for disposal of cleaning water.
|
Spiniello's crews
are trained and equipped to engage
in any of the three basic techniques, and to develop and employ
special techniques to meet the requirements of unusual projects. |

NOTE: We're often
asked about the economy and efficiency of cleaning pipe without
the additional step of cement-mortar lining. This is a temporary,
and therefore expensive, solution. The key to the economy of
the Spiniello rehabilitation process is that it restores flow
capacity indefinitely.
Pipe that
was cleaned and lined thirty years ago - and longer - is still
flowing at full capacity today. Pipe that is cleaned and left
unlined develops the old problems of corrosion and blockage,
and at an accelerated rate. |
