CIPP - CCTV

Closed circuit television (CCTV) inspections provide a closer look at the condition of pipelines — both before and after rehabilitation. If necessary, the pipe is first bypassed to ensure proper visibility. After lining the pipe, CCTV cameras and remote-control borers are used to reconnect the service laterals. The CCTV system is also used to verify the final quality.

Spiniello owns and operates an entire fleet of state-of-the art CCTV trucks and associated equipment. Each setup includes:

  • Color CCD cameras that can produce a continuous picture resolution of at least 500 lines at the periphery, and capture still images, too
  • Robotic cutters that support 360-degree radial rotations and 180-degree lateral rotations
  • An above-ground control board that displays the output of the camera, as well as other basic digital information, such as a footage counter
  • A PC-based site-reporting system with a DVD recorder, high-resolution monitors and audio equipment for recording commentary throughout an inspection
As an essential part of our rehabilitation team, our CCTV operators are certified by the National Association of Sewer Service Companies (NASSCO). Plus, the CCTV equipment is quality-checked using documented test procedures.
