CIPP - CCTV
Closed circuit television (CCTV) inspections provide a closer look at the condition of pipelines — both before and after rehabilitation. If necessary, the pipe is first bypassed to ensure proper visibility. After lining the pipe, CCTV cameras and remote-control borers are used to reconnect the service laterals. The CCTV system is also used to verify the final quality.
Spiniello owns and operates an entire fleet of state-of-the art CCTV trucks and associated equipment. Each setup includes:
- Color CCD cameras that can produce a continuous picture resolution of at least 500 lines at the periphery, and capture still images, too
- Robotic cutters that support 360-degree radial rotations and 180-degree lateral rotations
- An above-ground control board that displays the output of the camera, as well as other basic digital information, such as a footage counter
- A PC-based site-reporting system with a DVD recorder, high-resolution monitors and audio equipment for recording commentary throughout an inspection
